This programme is a perfect opportunity to discover Paris for a week.

The "Traversée de Paris" (rowing through Paris) on Sunday is a must for every rower. A unique occasion, it is the only opportunity in the year to row in Paris. Discover from your seat the numerous monuments along the Seine: the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre, to name but a few.

On Monday discover the cradle of French rowing on the Marne between Le Perreux and Joinville, passing in front of old rowing clubs as well as "Gégène", the last of the "guinguettes", typical restaurants and dance halls that were all the rage a century ago.

On Tuesday we'll head to Château-Thierry to row between the champagne vineyards and visit a champagne cellar.

On Wednesday, be an Olympian at the Paris 2024 rowing course in Vaires.

On Thursday you will row on the Marne, this time upstream from Le Perreux. 

Three afternoons will be available to visit Paris. It will only take you 30 min from your hotel to reach the centre of Paris.

You might also wish to extend your stay to see more of the capital. We will be happy to reserve additional nights for you.

Saturday: Hotel check-in

Sunday: Traversée de Paris

Monday: Rowing from Le Perreux, downstream. Free afternoon

Tuesday: Rowing in Château-Thierry and  visit to a champagne cellar

Wednesday: Rowing at the Vaires olympic course. Free afternoon.

Thursday: Rowing from Le Perreux, upstream. Free afternoon.

Friday: Hotel check-out

 

Boats used: gig quads for the Traversée de Paris. The other days, depending on your skills, requests and boat availability, other shell types may be proposed.

Daily rowing distance: average 17 km, maximum 28km
