Champagne - Lorraine, 6 days, 7 nights, date TBD

1800 - 2000 € all included (preliminary price indication)

We will stop in the towns which are home to the great champagne houses: Epernay, where we will row on the Marne and visit a cellar and Reims to visit its wonderful gothic cathedral where the kings of France used to be crowned.

On our way to Lorraine we will row on the largest reservoir in France, the Lac du Der.

Nancy, the former capital of the Duchy of Lorraine, boasts an exceptional architectural heritage with its 18th century palaces around Stanislas Square and a large number of Art Nouveau buildings. We will row on the Meurthe.

Metz combines the vestiges of a two-thousand year old history with the modern Pompidou-Metz museum of contemporary art that we will visit. Rowing on the Mosel.

We will also dip our oars into the waters of the Meuse in Verdun, known for the fiercest battle of the First World War and now the world capital of peace.
